As Vice President of Finance, you will serve as a key financial architect, responsible for driving the company's economic strategy and performance. You will lead the development, analysis, and execution of financial plans that unlock new avenues for profitable growth, ranging from strategic partnerships and capital structure optimization to unit economics and long-range planning.

This is a strategic and hands-on role for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, brings deep financial rigor, and wants to make a visible impact at a critical stage of growth. You’ll work directly with our VP of Finance and broader leadership team to guide decision-making, operationalize performance metrics, and own company-wide financial planning, modeling, and forecasting.

The Finance Manager will develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning. They will deliver analytical support and collaborate across departments to gather and analyze data for financial reporting. This role involves identifying trends, variances, and KPIs to provide actionable recommendations and supporting the implementation of financial planning and analysis tools and systems.

The Finance team at 2U provides strategic financial leadership and analytical support to cross-functional partners across our organization, driving change and delivering value through special projects that cut across the business. You’ll act as a strategic thought partner to senior leadership and a people leader to a team of financial analysts, owning complex financial modeling, business case development, and decision-support for new and ongoing initiatives across the company.

This role is ideal for someone with deep financial expertise, who brings both strategic thinking and strong technical skills. As Head of Finance, you will work closely with the CEO to drive strategic financial planning, oversee budgets and forecasting, support future fundraising, and implement systems and controls that grow with us.

We are looking for a Finance & Strategy Manager focused on FP&A. This role will support company-wide FP&A efforts and partner with business leaders across all functions—particularly in G&A (e.g., People, Legal)—to drive accountability, headcount planning, and expense management. You’ll own key FP&A cadences and contribute directly to our financial reporting, planning, and corporate consolidation models.

Own all aspects of operational finance, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and predictability in the financial performance of our supply chain. Play a critical role in forecasting, reporting, and optimizing cost structures, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive margin improvement and financial efficiency. Corporate Consolidation & Reporting Own the monthly and quarterly financial consolidation process across revenue, headcount, and operating expenses.
